hi,
Im doing some web hosting. One of my client asked me if I got asp/asp.net support. Im pretty sure that I dont have it yet!
Asp.net is pretty new, Im not sure that there is any support yet. Anybody can confirm?
For asp, how would I add this module to my actual apache 1.3.17 configuration?
thx all |

You have to have the .NET platform to run ASP.NET applications. This is provided with the Visual Studio SDK and such, and uses Microsoft IIS. I don't think your client will be able to use his application under Apache, but there is a chance. Check out this site for a continuing project on a port of .NET to Linux.

A google search turned this up for regular ASP under Apache:

Tell them nicely, "we don't support this because we use a much better system; we can do PHP4 or Perl or JSP or even Java Servlets instead"
If they are using the Javascript part of ASP, there is hope for them yet. |
