Hi,
I have upgraded my machine with:
Intel Core 2 Duo,Boxed, E6750, Socket 775
Intel BOXDG33TLM,Retail
Kingston KVR667D2N5K2/2G, 2048 MB, DDR2, PC5300, 667 MHz, 2 x
NEC AD-7173S, Serial ATA150, Beige, OEM
Samsung SpinPoint T166,7200RPM, SATA II, 8MB, 400GB
and so far I am very happy with it, except for some minor issues:
* I run a stock 2.6.22. kernel, which incorrectly identifies the sound chip as SigmaTel ID 7627 instead of 9271D. I tried the snd-hda-intel sound options, but to no avail: I only have a master and a PCM channel, and no microphone.
* the CPU throttles from 2.00 to 2.67 Ghz. only, although cat /proc/acpi/processor/CPU0/throttling list 8 different throttling states. Can I use these other states? I especially would like to reduce the power consumption even more.
*I cannot get voltage and temperature readings from the board-no detected sensors, except "coretemp", which produces two values below room temperature.

Any hints into the right direction are most appreciated :)

A little update:
Sound is working properly now
The CPU throttling behaviour seems to be the correct one (pity).

Clues regarding sensors remain very welcome.

Say, is this the board version with onboard DVI? If yes, would you recommend that board, for a decent compact office/devel machine? Some bad points about it?

It is the version with onboard DVI. That was one of the reasons I bought it.
DVI has some restrictions in combination with a second videocard. But that does not affect me.
See the manual for details:
Code:
Digital Video Interface (DVI)
The DVI port supports only DVI-D (digital only) displays. The maximum support resolution is 1600 x 1200 at a 60 Hz refresh rate. The DVI port is compliant with the  DVI 1.0 specification. Depending on the type of add-in card installed in the PCI Express x16 connector, the DVI and VGA ports will behave as described in Table 3.
Table 3. DVI/VGA Port Status
PCI Express x16 Connector                               DVI Port           VGA Port
No add-in card installed                                Enabled            Enabled
Non-video PCI Express x1 add-in card installed          Enabled            Enabled
PCI Express x4, x8, or x16 add-in card installed        Disabled           Disabled
ADD2 or MEC card installed                              Disabled           Enabled

It has been running problem-free and rock-solid. It certainly makes a decent, no-nonsense compact office/devel machine.
The onboard video is good enough for anything I do, including playing dvds.
Bad points ? None found so far.

Hello,
I'm interested in the DG33TLM Mainboard, too. I've heard something about problems during installation on Linux or Windows XP. How did you install Gentoo on that Board? Did you use the CD installation with a S-ATA or IDE drive?

Does anyone know another mainboard with two monitor interfaces? I'd like to use xinerama / dual head with intel onboard graphic chip!

Thanks for the hints!
