ok this is like my 50th time installing gentoo over the last couple years and everytime i emerge say tuxkart or any of those games from portage my user account dont have access to them they are in the games group but they cant access them i can use super user mode login with root password and they work fine where am i goofing up here.
although kde games works fine it has to be a permission issue on those games. |

To add yourself to the games group Code: | # gpasswd -a <user> games |

did that im in the games group her is my id <user>
uid=1000(username) gid=1000(username) groups=1000(username),10(wheel),18(audio),27(video),100(users),35(games)
does that look correct to you |
