Hello everyone,

doing a emerge --update --deep world mythweb fails with the following message.

Code:
!!! ERROR: www-apps/mythweb-0.21_pre13285 failed.
Call stack:
  ebuild.sh, line 1614:   Called dyn_unpack
  ebuild.sh, line 751:   Called qa_call 'src_unpack'
  environment, line 3594:   Called src_unpack
  mythweb-0.21_pre13285.ebuild, line 26:   Called unpack
  ebuild.sh, line 389:   Called die

!!! Nothing passed to the 'unpack' command
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.
!!! A complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/www-apps/mythweb-0.21_pre13285/temp/build.log'.

the current version is 0.20_p11671

Any help would be appreciated

Keith

Same here! There is a bug in the database that is kind of related, (https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=175442).

I too get this same error. Oddly, there doesn't seem to be any non-trivial difference between this ebuild file and the stable one.

Yes, going back to Myth 0.20 is a possibility, but I like the "storage group" feature in 0.21 too much.

Thanks!

Same result here, I'm running ~x86_64 with the same 'unpack' error.

Same problem as the others. Looking at my distfiles dir, I see mythplugins-0.20_svn11671.patch.bz2, etc, but nothing for 0.21... If the patch file is missing, then of course we see errors when unpacking. I couldn't find mythplugins-0.21_svn13285.patch.bz2 online anywhere either, so maybe somebody needs to make it. =)

Keep an eye on this bug report: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=175510 It seems things are gradually starting to work.

www-apps/mythweb-0.21_pre14235 worked although to emerge I needed to use

FEATURES="-sandbox" emerge -av =www-apps/mythweb-0.21_pre14235

because for some reason the install to /usr/share/webapps/mythweb/0.21_pre14235 was generating access_violations with the sandbox.
