I have Gentoo running on a Dell PowerEdge 4600 with Dual 2Ghz Xeons. Because of the Xeons, Gentoo shows it (/proc/cpuinfo) as having 4 processors. Would it be reasonable to set MAKEOPTS="-j5" ?
