How do I get the transparent menus that are available in Knoppix 3.2-20030520?

Well, don't know what the new knoppix does look like, but menu transparency is no prob: Just start

kcontrol, go to

Appearance and Themes, then

Style and on the right side

Effects There is an option called

Menu translucency type, where you of course can set the type of translucency you want (If available I would choose XRender) and below you can ste the opacity

Have Fun
