I have a second hdd and i dont want bill gates to have it so i have been reading up on different OSes , i read somewhere that there was a project to create Gentoo GNU/Hurd that had been put on hold. I know the gnumach kernel isnt very good ( yet ) but i'm still interested in getting it setup. At the moment i have Debian GNU/Hurd on my second hdd which almost boots :). I have been told that if i re-compile gnumach with a little fiddling it should boot , however i need MIG ( Mach Interface Generator ) so i was wondering if there was a MIG ebuild somewhere and if anyone has any experience with Hurd in general i would appreciate your thoughts and comments

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work

The HURD is moving (I follow its commit list, and it is quite active).

Maybe you could check, if you can create the Gentoo GNU/Hurd for Google Summer of Code....
