Hello

I have started getting bad page state messages" on the console whenever I try to emerge. The system runs fine, but I can't update it.

Code:
localedef[7404]: segfault at 0000000000000011 rip 000000000040a0c5 rsp 00007fffc7c45730 error 4

page:ffff8100018ca9c0 flags:0x4000000000080014 mapping:0000000000000000 mapcount:0 count:0
Trying to fix it up, but a reboot is needed

Here's my make.conf:
Code:

CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"

MAKEOPTS="-j2"

LINGUAS="en_GB"
ALSA_CARDS="hda-intel"

INPUT_DEVICES="keyboard mouse"

GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.mirrorservice.org/sites/www.ibiblio.org/gentoo/ "
SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage"

I'm running:
Code:
# uname -a
Linux fileserver 2.6.20-gentoo-r8 #5 PREEMPT Sun Jun 24 18:19:44 BST 2007 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
on an Asus M2NPV-MX motherboard.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I *did* add another stick of matched memory some time ago, but I'm pretty sure that it was working OK for a while after that. (and memtest86 runs for hours without error)

Thanks,

N.
