Hi, I have the GOTY version of UT installed, it went on fine, no errors, and all looked like it should work.
I have sound in everything else that's meant to have it, and I do not use a sound daemon
3d accelleration is working fine, I get good performance in quake3 and ut2003, and I get this in 24bit with the default window size in glxgears:
20802 frames in 5.0 seconds = 4160.400 FPS
so the system is set up right.
but when I start the original UT I get this output:
Code: | lion@lionxp lion $ ut
Unreal engine initialized
Bound to SDLDrv.so
Joystick [0] : Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad
Joystick has 12 buttons
Joystick has 9 axes
SDLClient initialized.

Executing UObject::StaticShutdownAfterError
Executing USDLClient::ShutdownAfterError
Signal: SIGIOT [iot trap]

I've tried all the renderers (sdl, opengl, and software) and get the same with each of them. suggestions are welcome _________________ Rarr. |

I had a similar problem and solved it by making all the files in the unreal-dir to executable. Don't ask me why, I only discovered it by copying my windows install from a fat32 drive (which automaticly sets all the files to executable) |
