Hi guys

I can't for the life of me work out how to view threads that I've subscribed to! Its really annoying trying to find an old thread and having to search for posts made by myself to find it!

Surely somewhere there's a list? Am I being dumb?[/i]

You're welcome. Don't worry about it, selective blindness is a distinctive trait of our species :).

that doesnt work for old threads, they dont show up in egosearch, just recents ones (last 2 month or so).

what he is asking for his threads he subscribed to (watch this thread). if noone is posting to them, you are not getting emailed anymore and so you dont find them back.

AFAIK phpBB does not have an option to search through "watched" threads yet.

Ahh, I see. Didn't register properly with me since I generally hang out in the "first contact" section, i.e. unanswered posts, and those tend to be resolved quickly since they're mainly support requests.

It's on the todo list: bug 144912.

hey, good news :D
but i wonder if its worth to add that many hacks to phpBB yet 8O

olympus (phpBB3) is almost ready for RC1, so you guys should better wait (IMHO).

I'd say it's worth it. The 2.x series has proven it can scale to the required capacity for the Gentoo forums. 3.x hasn't, so it's a much better idea to wait a few months. In a production environment, newer !=better, usually the opposite.

To be more precise, phpbb-2 has proven to scale for this db after lots and lots of tweaks only. A migration to phpbb-3 will be painful and long-winded at least.

yeah, i am aware you run a special "sexy tits" version ;)
dunno remember who called it that way, curtis? naw, not really ;)

well, its up 2 you guys, but as more mods and tweaks you put in 2.0, so more a pain it will be to migrate to 3.x
thats all what i wanted to point out. there will be the day the support (specially security isues) will die for phpBB 2.x
if this happens, you end up patching and patching all and all over.
if i would be in your shoes, i would install 3.x already now and see how it behaves (@ a test system)

anyway, thanks for diggin into this thread, and keep up your fantastic work.
i would never ever wish to have that many hits to my mysql base as you guys have ;)
