Hi!
I just started having problems with Thunderbird displaying most of the message header within the body of the mail, whenever there is an attachment. Further, I can't view, save or do anything with the attachment, it is just mentioned at the end of the message:
Quote: | --=__Part6C4BF212.0__=
X-Mozilla-IMAP-Part: 2
Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="something.doc"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="something.doc"
This body part will be downloaded on demand.
--=__Part6C4BF212.0__=-- |
I did not change any settings as far as I know, except that I set oowriter as the default action for .doc files and acroread for .pdfs. Could the issue be related to the attachment being saved or viewed once, and perhaps then become "detached"? I have deleted the actions, but the problem remains.
If I drag the message to another folder, the "paper clip" symbol will re-appear in the message list, but as soon as I view the message, the clip disappears again. The most odd behavior is that I once or twice managed to get the message (and attachments) back to normal again, just by moving it between folders. This suggests, to me, that the problem is within Thunderbird and not within the mail system (Courier-IMAP running on the same machine). I have also tried with KMail and it did not have any problems with the messages when they were accessed on the IMAP server.
Does anyone recognize this problem?
