Hello, I am a new gentoo user and I just finished the long process of installation after hearing about how great Gentoo was. It seems very customizable. This is the the third install I have attempted, the previous times things screwed up bad, this time I have a more fixable problem and I would hope you guys would be able to help.

Code:
network interface eth0 does not exist
Please verify hardware or kernel module (Driver)

I am not quite sure, does this mean I need to load up a module for the network interface. I thought I did. Thanks in advance.

Is this printing this message on startup?

Is it actually saying "etho-" ? That would probably mean some typo earlier on.

What network adapter do you have and did you/it load the right driver? Do you see success status in the dmesg log?

Shit, very sorry typo. I wasn't paying attention it says "eth0". I don't think I loaded any drivers for the Ethernet card. Not quite sure on how to do it for linux.

EDIT: Solved it, i had to go rebuild the kernel and add 3com support. Duh. Thanks for the help anyways guys.
