My wireless network recently stopped working. I'm using ndiswrapper with a USB transceiver, and it's been working great until recently. I tracked it down to being ndiswrapper-1.48_rc1. Downgrading back to 1.47 solves the problem. This is with kernels 2.6.19.7 and 2.6.22.5 (vanilla).
By broken, I mean that it still builds, installs, and creates the wlan0 interface, but I can't get any packets through it. Also, bringing down the interface hangs (/etc/init.d/net.wlan0 stop).
I see in bug 188373 that 1.48_rc1 includes patches to work with 2.6.23_rc*, but it seems to have broken things, at least with earlier kernels. |
