Hi. I think I have a problem with the battery of my new notebook. It is an HP Pavilion dv6599.
The output of /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info is:
Code: | present: yes
design capacity: 6000 mAh
last full capacity: 4448 mAh
battery technology: rechargeable
design voltage: 14800 mV
design capacity warning: 227 mAh
design capacity low: 137 mAh
capacity granularity 1: 10 mAh
capacity granularity 2: 25 mAh
model number: Primary
serial number:
battery type: LION
OEM info: Hewlett-Packard |
The last full capacity is significantly smaller than the design capacity. Is it normal or I have to use the warranty? |

Could someone say me if the battery is broken or not? |

It will take a couple of charges before it reaches the full capacity. thats pretty normal for LION batteries. _________________ HP NC 4010, Pentium-M 725 1.6GHz w/ 1Gb RAM, 60Gb Hitachi Travelstar.
Running Gentoo-2.6.21-r4 (again as 2.6.22 kernels hogs CPU), all but SD reader works fine. |
