Help with apache2 test server

Ok I am looking to setup a apache2 server for testing website stuff mysql and stuff but for the life of me I can not get the apache2 httpd.conf configured correctly.

Is there any simple way to configure it so it works. I because I am fairly new to makeing a web host but I can do the pages and stuff just the host I can not figure out yet.


I have gotten it as far as getting it to display web pages but thats about it.
