Installing package kde-dev on Gentoo 2006.0

I need to install kde-dev on a server.

But i've read on web that there was often problems during emerge.

Links or dependencies that were broken.

Someone could help me?

I just need to know the process in oder to install this package correctly.
I can't have errors of merging because it's on a production server ....

I assume you mean the betas of KDE4? If so, check out http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/kde/wiki
