Hello I have a problem with Postfix. It's unable to get the MX record of domains. If the MX record matches with the domain address (A = MX) it works, if MX differs (like for example biggest websites like gmail, hotmail) it tries to connect to the A record of the domain and not to MX record.
LOGS:
Sep 12 06:32:28 xxx postfix/smtp[22354]: 6667AADA5A: to=<xxx>, relay=none, delay=0.5, delays=0.46/0.02/0.02/0, dsn=5.4.4, status=bounced (unable to look up host xxx: Name or service not known)
this is a log entry when the A record of the domain does not exist and it's not able to get the MX.
Have you experienced something similar, ever? |

Sounds like you need to test your DNS. I run one locally on my mailservers. Run some checks. |
