I have a usb drive that is plugged in while my pc is started.
when /etc/init.d/localmount runs, I get the message
/dev/disks/by-label/IOMEGA_HDD does not exist. failed to load some local drives
As soon as I have a login, I try 'mount /dev/disks/by-label/IOMEGA_HDD' and the drive is mounted successfully
Therefore, it is my assumption that when localmount kicks in, udev did not finish yet with creating the device node, whereas it has by the time I get to login. I am sure that udev already did something, because localmount correctly mounts by label my PATA drives.
Is there a way to let localmount wait until udev has finished its job ? |
