My gentoo "wunderbox" (Ich lieber dich, Gentoo!) routes/NATs for hosts on my internal 192.168.0.0/24 LAN. One of which is my Cisco ATA 186 (ip phone gateway).

My voice quality (over the phone) goes to seed when traffic gets heavy.

Problem is, the venerable wondershaper does not focus on prioritizing traffic by net/host. Could someone briefly instruct me about the particulars of "tc" enough that I might be able to do this? lartc.org wasn't quite doing it.
