Hi, im installing gentoo for the first time but im havng problems patching the kernel, it says Patch is an unknown command. Im trying to follow the instructions on this page http://www.home4u.hongkong.com/_H4U/technology/internet/ultraline/pppoalinux1.html to set up my PCI ADSL modem. It connects to my ISP using ATM PPPOA. Please help Thanks

Don't know if it is a typp, but it should be patch (not with capital P).

Also check that you have emerged sys-devel/patch .
