Hi,
I finally got my Sidewinder Gamepad working and calibrated it with jscalibrator and all works fine in there...
But in Descent3 I can't use any of the the two axis. Just nothing happens when I try to bind them to whatever action. The other buttons work just fine...
Also strange: when I do a cat /dev/js0 I get wild characters an every push of a button or the axis adds more. When I ctrl-c out, I have still a scrambled prompt and I have to reopen the terminal!
Help really appreaciated!

I have a USB Logitech cordless rumblepad, all 5 of it's analogue axis (axes?), and all 4 of the digital work fine for me in the apps I've tried it in... I've been using mine to play racer and tuxracer mostly.
what modules have you loaded for it?
I have these (relevant) modules loaded:
iforce, joydev, input, hid
also: you can sort your console by typing "reset" at the garbled prompt, this sorts your terminal and is not to be confused with restart _________________ Rarr. |

I don't know how, but it works now !!! I haven't done anything special... but I rebooted a couple of times since the last try.
Thanks for your advice anyway!
