ipw2200 randomly stops working

ipw2200 seems to randomly stop working. dmesg doesn't show anything telling. My connection doesn't go down, it just seems to stop responding; I have the gnome network applet showing the connection, but when I look at packages in/outgoing, the numbers sit constant. However, if I run dhclient, the connection goes live again and whatever page I was trying to view comes back fine again...

Any ideas on why this might happen? I have the firmware (v3.0) installed and ipw2200 is configured as a module.

EDIT:
If I use "dhcpcd eth1" as opposed to "dhclient" my connection seems to stay good, rather than dropping.
