apache 2.2.6 POOL DEBUG spooling

The latest apache apr build v1.2.11 seems to have verbose pool memory debugging turned on. Downversioning to 1.2.9 works with apache 2.2.6, so that's a quick fix, but does anyone know how to turn the debug spewing off in v1.2.11?

or you can remove "debug" from USE flags in /etc/make.conf

This post pointed my in the right direction for fixing a problem I was having with apache not working.
After disabling debug in apr and re-emerging apache, apache-2.2.6-r6 now works.
