I want my HTPC to stream videos from a another computer. By streaming I mean transferring the file over LAN and playback on the HTPC. What would be the best way to do this?
The only solution I can think of really is NFS. Is the any other good options? |

I have HTPCs at home for me and my kid. NFS works fine. I have a server with external USB drives and then share them via NFS. We are both able to watch movies off the same drives without any problems or slow downs.
