Hallo,
habe eine Gentoo 2007.0 Installation durchgeführt mit LVM2.
Laut anleitung Gentoo Installiert und eigerichtet und genkernel --lvm2 all gemacht.
Danach grub angepasst und neu gestartet.
Danach kommt, das er das Block device nicht finden kann.
Weiss allerdings nicht, wo ich den fehler suchen will.
Gentoo Linux 2.6.9-r9 lvm
title Gentoo Linux (2.6.9-r9 lvm2)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /kernel-2.6.9-gentoo-r9 udev dolvm2 root=/dev/ram0 real_root=/dev/gentoo/root init=/linuxrc

Starte ich von der Live CD findet er die devices nach vgchange -ay auch wieder.
LVM2 und device-mapper sind installiert auf dem root system
Einrichtung erfolgte nach:

--- Problem waren die SCSI Karten - Scsi Treiber wurden vorher nicht geladen

Du mußt eine initrd haben, und sie in grub mit angeben.

Ups die hab ich nciht mitkopiert.
initrd ist eingebunden und wird gestartet.
dm_mod usw. werden geladen, komme auch bis zum vgscan und dann bricht er ab.[/code] |

Benutzt du wirklich diesen kernel?
Überprüfe doch bitte mal unter /boot wie dein kernel Image benannt ist.

Wie hast du es den nun gelöst?
Würde mich freuen wenn du die Lösung posten würdest dann haben andere suchende, eventuell auch etwas davon.
