What will i gain by enabling RTC support? What functionality? Maybe some performance increase?

You'll gain access to more accurate and precise timings. Audio applications supposedly to benefit from it. |

Are audio apps the only that benefits from RTC support?
If you were to convince me to enable it in my kernel, what arguments would you use? I use my gentoo mostly for internet and gaming, sometimes OpenOffice...
