|
|
After emerging, I'm getting the "SELinux module not found" message.
Problem is, as far as I recall, I've never even tried to install SELinux.
What do I need to check for to see why the system thinks the module should be there?
Now I'm wondering if this has something to do with the fact that I can't log in to the OS right now. (After authenticating, it simply gives me a "module not found" message) WTH?
EDIT:
Just noticed that the selinux USE flag is NOT set in my make.conf......but, it IS listed when I look at emerge --info

The flag is probably coming from your profile. Please post the output of emerge --info and the exact error text that appears when you try to log in. |

After it boots, the prompt looks like:
Code: | This is a (none).unknown_domain (Linux i686 2.6 yada yada)
(none) login: |
and, it always responds to the user/password with:
"Module is unknown"
for either my user account or root.
If I try a name that isn't configured on the system, it responds as you would expect in that scenario.
There IS in fact an entry for 'selinux' listed in the USE flags when I do an emerge --info. It's not listed in make.conf, so where else is that coming from? From my 2007.0 profile?
EDIT:
Crap.....a quick eselect profile list revealed that I was actually running the selinux profile! WTH???!!!
...anyway, set to 2007.0/desktop
wondering now if this is actually enough to fix the issue when attempting to login. |
