Hello

If i use electricsheep with the --root 1 switch, it only draws the half of my root window.
Is there any way to zoom it to the full rootwindow? :?:
I want electricsheep to draw the background of my Enlightenment.

Thx for Help, Sry my English. :wink:

Does anyone know why this isn't working? Maybe this version doesn't support root-window/zoom properly?

Thanks in advance.

I got it to work by adding "--zoom 1" to
Code:

/usr/share/control-center/screensavers/electricsheep.xml

the line
Code:

  <command arg="--root 1"/>

should be changed to
Code:

  <command arg="--root 1 --zoom 1"/>

This must be a bug in xscreensaver because that option doesn't work as a regular user.

Good luck
Kevin

it works!!! but what happens is that when i click on preview..it shows me a window in the top left corner. but if i click on preview a second time...it shows me in the full screen mode. i've got version 2.5

all of this in the normal 'user' mode (non-root)

here is what I did.

firstly, changed the <command arg="--root 1"/> to <command arg="--root 1 --zoom 1"/> in '/usr/share/control-center/screensavers/electricsheep.xml' file. (i was logged in as a normal user but su to root)
secondly, i put the 'visual' option in the settings window (its in advanced settings) to 'Best'

Yeah I found that setting xscreensaver to render the electricsheep screensaver in GL mode made it work. more details of what I did in this post
