Hi,

I want to run a basic mailserver which gets all our family mail and send our mail.
But with both sending I just want the server to synchronise between 1:00 and 15:00 during weekdays and from 1:00 to 7:00.
This to prevent slow surfing due to my family using mail as ftp...

If you use sendmail, you could start it at 7AM via cron with the queue processing time set to 18 hours. Then restart at 1AM via cron with it set to 5 minutes.
