Hi there,
Found the Gentoo and Ubuntu how to's on installing a dual boot system onto a fake raid using dmraid. It appears though, that they all use grub, and one would assume installing to the MBR? Now, has anyone used Lilo and have it installed to the root partition and peeled off the boot sector using dd, to enable booting from an XP/Vista boot manager?

That method should work fine too, it is just more tedious than using GRUB directly. |

Thanks for that...I tried Ubuntu this morning, got dmraid to see my Raid0, but when I used fdisk or gpart just to check it couldnt open the drive.....
Not sure if Gentoo live will support the Atheros wireless out of the box....time to pull out that long CAT5 cable..!

I am pretty sure the stock Gentoo CDs support dmraid these days, but Atheros won't work until after you are done installing. |
