[SOLVED] Tyan S2567 HEsl (ServerWorks III) + Adaptec 29160

Hello!

I found a solution for the following scsi problem:

"aic7xxx_abort returns 0x2002"

when using an Adaptec 29160 scsi controller in combination with the ServerWorks ServerSet III HEsl chipset and ACPI enabled in the bios.

It is not necessary to disable complete acpi in the bios, but only start linux with "pci=noacpi".

So the scsi errors vanished and the system is still able to power off completely without any errors.

The kernel used was gentoo-sources-2.6.22-r7.
