If I don't need to use the gnome-games,I shell emerge -C gnome-games.
If I don't need to use the evolution,I shell emerge -C evolution.
If I don't need to use the totem,I shell emerge -C totem.
But when I updating, these package will be installed again.
So I want to ask how to do with the system to let it turn small. _________________ Gentoo(~x86)+fvwm && Debian+gnome

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Other Things Gentoo.
Not about getting gentoo installed.
Sounds like you should have installed gnome-light instead of gnome _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered

Well, you already have your answer.

Uninstall gnome and all the related packages. If you emerged it using emerge gnome, you should be able to uninstall everything by doing "emerge -C gnome && emerge --ask --depclean". If you emerged some gnome packages explicitly by hand using "emerge whatever" you might need to emerge -C them as well.
Once there is no gnome in your system, emerge -pv gnome-light, look at the use flags, remove eds and any other thing you don't want, and then emerge it. |
