Is it possible to set up my xorg.conf file in such a way that I have multiple monitor profiles and xwindows detects which one is "connected" when it starts up? I know I can just modify the xorg.conf file each time I start xwindows and just comment/uncomment a line, or even have two seperate startx scripts/aliases, but I'm wondering if this functionality exists within wxindows, given that it already detects my monitor each time and validates the settings..
FYI, my situation is a laptop that is in a port replicator when I'm at my desk (with a monitor), but which is just using the LCD when I'm in a meeting or at home or what not. _________________ The door resists! |
