|
|
Hello!
I have Dom0 Fedora Core 7 machine with xen 2.6.20-2934.fc7 kernel.
I plan to use Gentoo as paravirtualized guest. The latest xenized kernel for Gentoo is xen-sources-2.6.20-r4 so I am not sure to use that kernel version for my DomU.
What problems in future I may encounter if I use fedora kernel for Gentoo? Or it is possible to use, for example, gentoo xen 2.6.20-r4 kernel for my DomU system along with Fedora 2.6.20-2934.fc7 Dom0 krenel or they should be the same? |

They should be the same (domU boots from the host system). Only backend/frontend drivers should differ,
and if needed some systems need scsi disabled on domU to boot up. I think you can use fc7 kernel with
gentoo without any problems. |
