Hi, i'm try to modify the action to control volume system from Master channel to PCM, because on my system downing/uppening Master not seem have any effect on real sound volume. Then someone know what should i do?? I have try to find some information but nothing of that i have read it's usefull. I only can understand that i must change the command to -amixer PCM -/+2 or something like this... I'm running on amd64 gentoo with Gnome.

thanks to all.

Hi

I used to find when running audacious that my PCM level would be changed by that application - I got rid of it and have use Amarok ever since. Anyhow the I got used to resetting the PCM levels by typing thus:

amixer set PCM 90%

obviously to set Master

amixer set Master 90%

where 90 is the level you want to achieve in each case.

I hope this helps ?
