What is the best?
Apache 1.3 or Apache 2???
I run now Apache 1.3 but portage wants me to update to apache 2...
what do you think? _________________ If Windows is the answer, you don't understand the question!

the best is still 1.3 as there is not much support for 2.x yet. also 2.x still has a lot of bugs and recently some huge security holes have been found in 2.x. therefore my advice:
stay with 1.3 - especially if your machine is a production machine connected to the internet. add in /etc/make.conf to the USE variable "-apache2". that way portage should not try to update your apache to 2.x. _________________ A mathematician is a machine for turning coffee into theorems. ~ Alfred Renyi (*1921 - †1970) |
