This is using launchmany-curses, however I get the same error from the regular bittorrent client:

Code:

Also at the very beginning I get this error, before the launchmany-curses screen comes up:

Code:
>>> unable to setrlimit  not allowed to raise maximum limit

The same problem happens on 3 totally different computers, so it appears this version of bittorrent (5.0.7) is broken. I deleted the .bittorrent directory on all the machines I tried, just in case there was data from an older version hanging around, no change.

Masked 5.0.7, dropped back down to bittorrent 4.4.0, working fine now. I guess 5.0.7 is just borked.

please file a bug or search b.g.o for existing bugs so that others don't run into it.
