Oltre al mio personale problema con avifile (il buon cerri si starà pure rompendo dei miei post  ) oggi mi è successa una cosa strana, guardate questo output di emerge -up world:

ma emerge regredisce e mi downgrada i pacchetti ora???

In teoria -U implica -u quindi è sufficiente un
Però con alcuni pacchetti si comporta comunque in modo strano, ad esempio in questo momento:

Non mi pare che nel file world vengano memorizzate anche le dipendenze... o no?
Probabilmente ho qualche applicazione installata che tra le dipendenze richiede appunto qualcosa del tipo <=sys-apps/acpid-1.0.1... ma per scovarla cosa dovrei fare? frugare in /var/cache/edb/dep ?? |

Anche a me sta dando qualche noia, ma credo sia qualche dipendenza.
No, e' quando qualche ebuild viene completamente rimosso dal tree.
Ad esempio, a me vuole per forza downgradare gconf-editor che ho installato in versione 0.5.0 perche' l'ebuild non esiste piu'.

Da quello che ho capito io, hanno trovato un baco nella versione 3.1.2-r3 e quindi si ritorna alla versione vecchia!
In effetti nel changelog c'e' questo:
08 Jun 2003; Brandon Low gawk-3.1.2-r3.ebuild:
Mark unstable, see bug 21713 for reasons, will wait for 3.1.3 to have a new
stable gawk

Infatti ho postato su bugs che ci deve essere un'opzione che forza il lasciare i pacchetti.
Ad esempio, gaim 0.64 e' stato downgradato a 0.63 perche' ad alcuni andava in coredump: a me non c'e' mai andato, perche' dovrei per forza downgradare?

In effetti hai ragione.... perche' dovrei ritornare a mplayer 0.90 pre ????
Io mi voglio tenere la 0.90 finale!
