ich9 sata not recognised on P35 mobo

i am having problems installing onto my ABIT IP35-E mobo because of its ICH9 sata chip, i posted this in install section

The Sabayon miniED disk recognizes the ICH9 SATA controller. In fact any boot disk with kernel 2.6.20 or newer is likely to support it. However you will need to download the ethernet adapter drivers from the intel homepage and install them by hand after you got gentoo working.
