usb printing problem

Hi, I just installed foomatic and cups but my HP PSC 750 won't print at all.
I installed foomatic by typing:
foomatic-configure -s cups -c file:/dev/usb/lp0 -p HP-PSC_750 -n PSC750 -d hpijs

running cups in a browser it says:
Description: HP PSC 750
Location:
Printer State: idle, accepting jobs.
"Media tray empty!"
Device URI: usb:/dev/usb/lp0

When I print a test page in /var/log/cups/error_log it says:

Started "/usr/lib/cups/cgi-bin/printers.cgi" (pid=1696)
Job 12 queued on 'PSC750' by ''.
Started filter /usr/lib/cups/filter/pstops (PID 1697) for job 12.
Started filter /usr/lib/cups/filter/cupsomatic (PID 1698) for job 12.
Started backend /usr/lib/cups/backend/usb (PID 1699) for job 12.
[Job 12] Media tray empty!
PID 1698 stopped with status 32!

The media tray is definetely not empty.
Any hints?
