there was a c&c engine (c+c i think it was named), there is asc (turn based), and boson (only online for now) ...well that's how far my memory of a non-strategy linux player goes ...but be sure to check out happypenguin.org and do a search on strategy :]

Boson could be what you're looking for.

There's FreeCNC that is meant to (eventually) run with the game data from commercial command and conquer titles as well as with its own data sets, much like freecraft. But it doesn't seem all that active... a few CVS commits in the past few months, a few bits of news about multiplatform support, but not much else. I've not tried it myself

C&C1 is quite playable with FreeCNC 0.2.0TP2. I tried it and got bored after seeing that there is not much activity in the project and C&C1+2 run fine with wine (TM).

Boson looks pretty boring :-) Besides, it depends on KDE ??? That's just crazy talk if you ask me. I don't want to compile kdelibs for a game :-) I have it compiled allready, but still ;-)

I'm kinda scared by the things that don't work about FreeCNC. the options menu doesn't show up for me... nor do the mission objectives, or anything else to tell me what the hell I'm supposed to do. Oh, and for some reason the enemy units aren't attacking me?
