WineX-cvs and Half-Life

Okay, this is my setup: Latest XFree86 (4.3.0), FireGL drivers (4.9.12) w/WineX compat. mode (#2 option), WineX-cvs3, all built yesterday (well, 1 am today

), and the ALSA 0.9.2 cs46xx driver (also built yesterday...).

I installed HL, then 1.1.1.0, then CS 1.5 full mod. All was fine except for the graphics: they were all dark and it was as if the texture coordinates were wrong. Also my ping was horrendously high at times (700 maybe?), although it didn't seem like it was 700 ping, more like 200 or 300. I'm on a cable connection and at the same server I get 50-60 ping on that server in Windows XP, same versions and all. Any clues to what this could be...? I get around 3100 fps in glxgears...

Are you running in OpenGL mode or DirectX?

What is your gamma set in HL/CS?

just use standard wine with hl etc
should work better afaik
