Bonjour à tous,
Quelqu'un aurait-il Alice ADSL fonctionnant avec Linux ?
Ca marche qu'avec Windows...
Sur mon poste Linux, j'arrive qu'à faire des recherches Google. Tout le reste ne marche pas (même pas un emerge --sync !).
Je croyais à une mauvaise configuration de Firefox mais j'ai le même problème avec Thunderbird...

Bonsoir,
J'écris tout ceci depuis un poste Windows...
Ma machine Gentoo (kernel 2.6.22-gentoo-r2) est reliée par Ethernet au modem Alice Comtrend 633 triway.
Après avoir configuré le modem Alice avec le CD sous windows. Internet marche bien sous Windows. J'essaye internet sur Gentoo.
Ce qui marche : ping 192.168.1.1 et www.yahoo.fr. Naviguer sur Google marche également.
Ce qui ne marche pas : naviguer sur toutes les autres pages (yahoo.fr, gentoo.org,...). Télécharger mes mails de yahoo sous Thunderbird. emerge --sync.
Les conclusions de mes recherches :
- Cela n'est pas liée à un logiciel sous Linux
- Tout cela aurait quelque chose à voir net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling qui doit être à 0.
Mon premier problème :
- mettre net.ipv4.tcp_windows_scaling à 0 car le kernel et sysctl me renvoint : "unknown key"
J'ai vérifié que SYSCTL était bien dans la config. Et je vois pas comment faire accepter ce paramètre à sysctl.
Je ne sais pas si c'est assez précis.

En fait il s'agissait d'un s en trop dans net.ipv4.tcp_windows_scaling.
Voilà ca marche :
il fallait mettre dans /etc/sysctl.conf :
net.ipv4.tcp_windows_scaling=0
et lancer /sbin/sysctl
