Hi all.
Sorry for this post, but it's two days that I try to configure mod_php 4.3.2 with mysql (for snort/acid usage), and I can't solve a problem.
I've installed apache, mysql, php, mod_php and snort (in this order), but when I watch phpinfo from webserver, I see that apache recognize 4.3.1 instead of 4.3.2, and in configuration I see --without-mysql.
I've tried many times, and all times I've saw mysql support from emerge output; but problem persist.
I've also tried to install php without portage (with classic untar, ./configure --with-mysql, make and make install), but result is the same.
I'm sure that my php installation support myql, but I can't understand how to say to apache that it is ....
Sorry for my bad english,
Bye, thanks, Daniele |

yes, many times ....
I've modified /etc/conf.d/apache with -D PHP4
so, PHP work, and I can see files.php properly, but I can't have mysql work ....

yes, because I've deleted it before new installation |

sorry, I've found another libphp4.so ... one was in /etc/apache/extramodules and the other in /etc/apache/conf/apache-extramodules
I've deleted both and reinstalled and now mod_php work properly
I've only one other problem, snort doen't write to mysql databases, I've configured snort.conf with
output database mysql
and snort start without error messages, but it write alerts only to /var/log/snort/alert and not int mysql database
(I've followed all instruction from official docs, using create_mysql source, and grant all permission to snort user ...) |
