|
|
I want to improve a script I am using to convert videos for the PSP. I have a script which is working well enough using ffmpeg but I have a significant amount of character ghosting when played on the PSP.
I've found this site which suggest that ghosting can be reduced by:
Quote: | - Raising the brightness, contrast and/or gamma fixes the ghosting of character movements and objects on screen. |
I can't find how or even if such tweaks are possible using ffmpeg. Does anyone know if this is possible using ffmpeg? If not, do you know a program which can do this?
Thanks,
PS: I'd really rather do this using ffmpeg than to learn how to convert some codec options I need to use for the PSP |

Ok, I took a look at transcode and it can correct gamma but cannot change brightness or contrast, nor encode h264 files which I need for this application. So it's pretty much not the tool I'm looking for here. |

mencoder (comes with mplayer) is the right tool for you. Prepare yourself for a lot of reading, mplayer's man page is huge. It's probably simplest to search for a mencoder->psp guide, there's probably quite a few of them on the net. The only thing you then need to add to the commandline is the eq2 filter, it's usage is explained in the man page |

I was afraid of the mencoder answer but thanks for the eq2 filter. I'll have to take the time to look into that. |
