ChipId?

I have trouble to start X with radeon 32mb SDR PCI ( radeon 7200). Part of the problem may be I don't know how to idenify its ChipID. The truth is I don't don't what ... is this ChipId, it is probably not chipset. Then what the ... is it and how to find out?
