Hi,
I have a reiserfs filesystem (v3.6.19) and I have the following files that have crept into the FS that I am unable to delete:

Has anyone seen this before??

I've had similar problems before. Usually, running "reiserfsck --fix-fixable" will take care of it but you may have to also use the "--rebuild-tree" option. If that's the case, reiserfsck's output will tell you that you need to do that.
Depending on which partition the files are on, you may have to boot from a CD to do it since the partition must not be mounted. _________________ Ask Questions the Smart Way - by ESR |

Thanks for the info. I'm sad to say that the server is a co-lo so won't be bootable from CD with out a site visit!
EDIT: a site visit and booting from a cdrom to run reiserfsck did the trick!
Just a shame reiser is crap with lots of small files |
