|

I'm using Kmail and having a really annoying problem. Whenever I try to drag a message to a newfolder I get a contextual menu that pops up with "Copy," "Move," and "Cancel." How do I get rid of this menu? I'd like it to just move every time. I assume this isn't just a Kmail option, as Konqueror does it when I drag and drop files (it pops up a "Copy Here," "Move Here," "Link," and "Cancel" menu). These menus are very irritating and slow me down when I'm moving lots of messages or files. How do I disable them all together!?
Edit:
Unfortunately it looks like this is a perminant feature. From the KDE User Interface Guidelines:
" A drop causes a popup menu to appear that offers possible actions. Typical actions are: Move, Copy and Link. [...] There should also be a popup menu if there is only one action (other than Cancel) possible. Actions that aren't possible should not appear in the menu. "
*sigh*. Can this be disabled in at least Konqueror & Kmail? |

In Kmail:
Settings, Folders, Ask for action after dragging messages to another folder.

Yes, that's one of the most annoying "features" of KDE indeed. Instead of letting the user decide what to do (like in windows ctrl/shift-mouseclick, or maybe using the left mouse button to copy and the middle to move), the developers just slow down the user.
