Code:
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86"

should be replaced with

Code:
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86"

but a downgrade of packages is sometime impossible.

How do I perform this downgrade?

Is this just edit the make.conf:

Quote:
# These settings were set by the catalyst build script that automatically
# built this stage.
# Please consult /etc/make.conf.example for a more detailed example.
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=i686 -pipe"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
# This should not be changed unless you know exactly what you are doing. You
# should probably be using a different stage, instead.

Just me: n00b :oops:

Replace the lines above and execute the emerge -aev world.

If the system wants to downgrade glibc, it is impossible to continue.
