Use the Gentoo LiveCD and chroot into your existing linux partition and then emerge your pcmcia drivers. _________________ When the Illusions of Reality fade,

The drivers should come on the boot cd, because emerge doesnt start working until after you have bootstrapped the pc if I understand things correctly. Does your NIC work whenever you boot the liveCD? _________________ When the Illusions of Reality fade,

Are the modules getting loaded whenever you boot or can you load them by hand? _________________ When the Illusions of Reality fade,

You can type lsmod. This will list all modules that are loaded. You can cd into /lib/modules/kernel_name/ and dig through there and modprobe module_name and that should load the drivers for you. _________________ When the Illusions of Reality fade,
